"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden" (Matthew 5:14).
Located on top of Mount Carmel, the Or HaCarmel ("Light of Carmel") Ministry Center was established upon our faith in God's word and the power of His Spirit to transform lives. The goal of the center is to be a demonstration of God's love to the people of Israel and to impart an understanding of His sovereign purposes to the nations.

Since its beginning in 2002, Or HaCarmel is a base for the development and launching of new projects and has been providing a number of services to those needing assistance. Through community outreaches, teaching and internship programs, recording studios, we endeavor to use God’s resources to bring His “light” into people’s lives. Our work includes:
Mount Carmel School of Ministry--Intensive Training & Study Tour in Israel to help fulfill Israel’s calling as a “light to the nations” (Isaiah 42:6)
Or HaCarmel is the headquarters for the Mount Carmel School of Ministry, (see link) an intensive study tour of Israel for believers from the nations. Many hundreds of people from around the world have been impacted through gaining God’s vision for Israel and by the opportunity to interact closely with the residents of our community.
Elijah Training Institute--Impartation of the Spirit and Power of Elijah (Luke 1:17) through training courses and internships
Based at Or HaCarmel, the Elijah Training Institute (ETI) provides in-depth teaching programs as well as facilitates online sessions and overseas conferences which connect the revelation of God’s purposes for Israel and His kingdom with the end time call to “make disciples of all nations.”
Women’s Shelter—to care for the “stranger who dwells in our land” as commanded in Lev. 19:33 and numerous scriptures
For more than 20 years, Or HaCarmel has provided a home for women and families in crisis situations. The women’s shelter has been a place where God’s love and mercy are extended to women who are going through difficult circumstances—domestic abuse, crisis pregnancies, and severe economic situations. Our doors were wide open to receive refugees from Darfur, Sudan, and Eritrea, both Christians and Muslims, who had suffered the horrors of war, as well as those who were the victims of human trafficking by Bedouin smugglers in the Sinai desert. Or HaCarmel took in a number of children who were separated from their parents in these difficult times.
When Russia invaded Ukraine in March, 2022, we opened our doors to Ukrainian families fleeing the terrible bombing of their country as well as Russians who opposed their government’s actions. For some, it was a “coming home” as they were able to make “aliyah” as Jewish immigrants.
It’s been a joy to see women and children from so many backgrounds come together at Or HaCarmel, and to watch God break down the “walls of partition” as they are surrounded by His genuine love.
