Welcome to Kehilat HaCarmel

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob called the people of Israel back to the land of their inheritance. Emerging in the midst of the re-gathered nation of Israel is a remnant of believers in Yeshua, the Messiah. Kehilat HaCarmel is a community of Messianic believers located on Mt. Carmel in the city of Haifa.

Centuries ago, on this mountain, Elijah confronted Baal’s false prophets and God moved in a miraculous way, sending fire upon the altar as recounted in 1 Kings 18. The people of Israel were transformed by that event. Today, the vision of Kehilat HaCarmel is to rebuild the Lord’s altar on Carmel’s strategic heights and to pray for the fire of His presence to again return to the Land of Israel.

Rebuilding God’s altar in Israel today means bringing the “living stones” of God’s people together—Jews, Arabs and other Gentiles being forged into “one new man” in the fire of His love. As we worship and serve Him, we are "being built together as a dwelling place for the Spirit of God" (Eph. 2) Restoring true worship of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob also means fulfilling the mandate of Isaiah 58 to give to the poor and hungry in Israel, and to provide a place of shelter and help for those in need.

We also host intensive study tours for international visitors to bring biblical understanding of the prophetic significance of Israel and to give them insight into what God is doing today among His people.
