Sept/Oct 2016 After the long hot summer, we are now heading into this special season of the biblical Fall Feasts of the Lord (Lev. 23:23-28), beginning with the Feast of Trumpets, traditionally known as “Rosh HaShanah” (“head of the year”) which starts at sundown on Oct. 2 (2016). We will soon be greeting our neighbors with a warm “Shanah Tovah!” (“Happy New Year!”) and enjoying the traditional apples and honey.
