On June 11 (2016) we celebrated the 25th Anniversary of Kehilat HaCarmel and the installation of Dani Sayag as our new lead pastor. We believe it was the Lord who arranged that this significant event would take place on the Eve of Shavuot (Pentecost). 
  
“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:1-4).
 
The body of Messiah was birthed in holy fire in that momentous gathering in Jerusalem. The Pentecostal movement had begun! The apostle Peter realized what was happening and quotes the prophet Joel, saying: “ ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and  your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And on my maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy…. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:16-21). Three thousand Jews came to the Lord that day, and the fire of God’s presence then spread to Samaritans, Romans, and Greeks, as the gospel went to the Gentiles.
 
The first Jewish evangelists were moving in all the gifts of the Holy Spirit and “turned the world upside down” (Acts 17:6).
 
The Pentecostal Century
At the beginning of the 20th Century the Holy Spirit was poured out in Los Angeles in a large barn on Azusa Street, and also in a small chapel in Wales. The outpouring spread through America, Europe, Argentina, Brazil, Africa, Indonesia, Korea, and China, clothing millions of men, women and children in the power of the Holy Spirit! Many denominations were impacted by the presence of the Holy Spirit invading their meetings. It is estimated that today there are over 500 million Pentecostals/Charismatics worldwide and the global movement continues to grow.
 
So many in the body of Messiah in Israel are crying out for a great awakening here! A seasoned intercessor recently had a vision in one of our Shabbat meetings, that the Lord was going to release new anointings to preach the gospel throughout Israel. Please pray for Israeli believers to go forth with boldness in the power of the Holy Spirit, with signs and wonders confirming the preaching of the Word.
 
“Shepherd Your people with Your staff, the flock of Your heritage, who dwell solitarily in a woodland, in the midst of Carmel…As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt, I will show them wonders” (Micah 7:14-15).
